Children's Museum

Decker and myself, along with several of our friends headed over to Iowa City to spend the day at the Children’s Museum and mall. Jeff and several of our neighborhood friends went on their annual ice fishing trip to MN. So me and two other wives decided to take the kids on a trip. We loaded up in our minivan and Decker thought it was pretty fun for him and the kids to ride all together in the back. And we had a great day at the Children’s Museum! None of us have ever been before and we can’t wait to go back. We spent the whole afternoon there and could have stayed longer if we didn’t have a couple of kids who had missed their nap and were getting a bit fussy. The museum has all sorts of neat rooms to imagine play – grocery store, hospital, music room, arts and crafts, train room, farm, forest and aviation room (and a few I’m sure I’m missing). The only other museum Decker has been to is the Science Center and at his age there were so many fun things for him to do at this museum. Decker really enjoyed the aviation room, train room and the grocery store. He thought it was pretty cool in the aviation room how they had a life-size plane to sit in and a hot air balloon.
