Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! We had a nice long weekend spent with lots of fun family time. Work was closed on Friday so Decker and I got to hang out for the day. We got yard work done, lots of play time in and dyed Easter eggs together which was nice. Jeff’s sister and her family were back from Chicago and Jeff’s brother and his kids were at grandma and grandpa’s this weekend. Sat. we had planned to have our Easter egg hunt but the weather didn’t cooperate. So instead we went bowling so the kids could burn off some energy instead of being cooped up all day. Turned out to be lots of fun and Decker enjoyed it for the most part, no nap and all. We were also treated Sat. night to dinner at Checkerboard in Pleasantville which is a family favorite for their onion rings, cheeseballs and pizza. Sun. we had a nice service at grandma and grandpa’s church with the entire family. Since all the tulips are in bloom so early this year, we headed up to the square to take pictures of the grandkids. Lots of others had the same idea. We got some great shots! Then we headed back to grandma and grandpa’s for a big Easter dinner. I actually made a cake for dinner this year (haven’t baked a cake in about 5 years) so that was impressive for myself. I love anything lemon and of course Pinterest came through with a yummy lemonade cake recipe. After dinner we had the egg hunt for all the kiddos. Colten decided he was too old this year so helped hide the eggs. The kids had lots of fun hunting for the eggs and even more fun eating the candy inside. I think we are going to have to start having candy withdrawals from Decker as he woke up this morning asking for candy for breakfast. After Kris's family had left Jeff took Colten and Decker frog hunting. They caught a couple of frogs and Decker had fun telling us and all the kiddos at daycare all about his frog adventures.
Pictures by the beautiful tulips!

And they're off!
Favorite part - digging into the candy!
Yum!!
Fun times bowling. The older kids liked helping Decker bowl.
