We had a fantastic time over the 4th of July holiday with Jeff’s family. It was our turn to have the cabin this year and everyone except Uncle Mark was able to make it down for the 5 days. Doug and Patti had just got a new boat in June so it worked out great to have two boats to entertain the kids. Thurs. and Fri. after the 4th were my only vacation days this year (trying to save up for maternity leave) so I did lots of relaxing and took naps with Decker every afternoon which was very nice. The kids (big and little) learned all sorts of new tricks in the water: Colten learned to wakeboard, ski on adult skis, ski double and do 360s on his knee board; Emily learned to do 360s on the knee board and ski double; Kayli learned to knee board and was going double skiing with Emily by the end of the week; Caden and Dylan both learned to knee board; Doug and Patti both learned to wakeboard. As you can tell, most of our time was spent on the water! We’d get up in the morning and be boating first thing. And if we weren’t boating, we were parked at one of the beaches swimming. Luckily we were able to be on the water so much since it was 100+ degrees every day. We enjoyed fireworks at the Unionville, MO town show and played games and cards too. We also celebrated Decker, Caden and Emily’s birthdays while we were all together. A fun week with family!
USA!!! Happy Independence Day!
