Getting Ready for Christmas

Decker is very into Christmas this year and was very excited to help me decorate.  When we were going through all the boxes we found the nutcracker and he asked if he could keep it in his room.  After a few minutes he came running out of his room.  He said (in a very excited yelling voice) "Hey guys, we should put a cracker in his mouth and NUT it up!!"

Our bean pole can still fit in the bumbo

We had fun with our Elf on the Shelf this year.  Decker named him Charlie (inspiration from our Charlie Brown Christmas book).  Here he is in our gingerbread train we made.

Decker thought Charlie was getting too hot in our house since he's used to the cold North Pole.  So the next day we found him in the fridge cooling off.

We went and visited Santa this year.  Decker was so excited to see him.  Until we actually got up there and he did NOT like sitting on his lap.

Decker has been wearing his tie around the house as he thinks it makes any clothes he has on handsome. It's been worn with pajamas, sweats, etc.  I don't know where he comes up with this stuff :)

We went to Winterset and helped my sister pick out her tree and decorate for Christmas. Decker had fun running around the tree farm in the great weather. He then had even more fun playing in the dirt at aunt Katie Ann's house while we decorated.

Such a happy, easy going baby!

Decker had all of Aunt Katie's bracelets on. But they weren't just any bracelets... they were his superhero power rings!  Each one gave him a different strength like being able to fly.  I love his imagination!

I made one last trip to Mt. Ayr during the week while Jeff was gone before I have to go back to work.  It was so nice to get to go hang out with my family during the week while Jeff is away for work.  Makes it a little less stressful for me to handle both of the boys by myself all the time!

Last trip to aunt Katie's restaurant before it closes for the winter.  Decker got to help her make dessert in the kitchen.

Grady's smile just keeps getting bigger and bigger!

Decorating Christmas trees.  I love Claire's expression!
