Happy 1st Birthday Decker!

Happy Birthday Decker Joe! Jeff and I cannot believe that our little baby boy is one year old today! Seems not to long ago that we were headed to the hospital getting ready to meet our new little boy or girl. This past year has been the most wonderful, fun, crazy, sleep-deprived, fulfilling and happy year of our lives. It’s hard to imagine life before our bundle of joy arrived ready to steal our hearts. We are so blessed to have Decker in our lives!

One year ago today . . .


This past month Decker has seemed to grow even more and now seems to be a little boy instead of our baby. Decker is a funny little boy and likes to entertain people. He is always giggling and likes when you clap for him when he does something and makes silly faces. His new favorite game is to tickle you. He is a little daredevil already (definitely a trait from his daddy). If he falls while playing he gets up laughing and he likes to purposely fall head first off the bed or couch. Hasn’t quite figured out that mom and dad won’t always be there to catch him. Decker likes to eat all kinds of food, especially cheese, meat and fruit. He is definitely a mama’s boy right now. He follows me wherever I go and is constantly pulling at my leg while I’m cooking, getting ready, etc. (another trait he takes after from his daddy). Decker is also fascinated with anything with wheels. He likes to pick up his toys and examine them and it seems like he is really trying to figure out how they work. His favorite activities are to ride around in his little car or be pushed in the swing. We are so thankful to have such an energetic funny little boy and can’t wait to see what the future holds for our Decker Joe!
