September

We had a nice relaxing three day weekend at home for Labor Day.  Got to enjoy some nice weather.  We had friends over to BBQ Sunday night.  Then Mon. we had our niece Emily’s birthday party.  Unfortunately, Jeff did have to work on Monday so missed out on the party.  But it was fun to have three days with Decker.  Wish every weekend was 3 days instead of 2!!
Decker and his little friend Maddie.  They had a lot of fun pretending to drive the golf cart

Decker vacuuming the kitchen floor.  He loves to push the cordless Shark vacuum around!
All the cousins at Emily’s birthday party.

Decker pulling the string on the piñata.

Colten is shooting his new gun and all the younger boys are watching

Although the Cyclones lost to the Hawkeyes we had a great day tailgating in our neighborhood!  All the neighbors got together to watch the game, eat lots of food and play some yard games.  Decker had a great time running around with all the little girls.  I don’t think he stopped moving until bed time!

Decker and Kaiya “driving” the lawn mower

On Sept. 17th Jeff and I celebrated 5 years of marriage!!  I cannot believe how fast the past five years have gone.  Time flies when you’re having fun, right?!  We have been truly blessed in our five years of marriage and cannot wait to see what new adventures we have the next five years.  Love you Jeff!!
For our anniversary, our in-laws let us use their lake cabin for the weekend.  Jeff and I celebrated our anniversary on Fri. and then on Sat. we had a few friends down as the 18th is Jeff’s birthday.  Unfortunately the weather was bad all weekend.  So for entertainment we invented Cabin Olympics.  Played ping pong, foosball, bags, etc.  It was a fun weekend!

Jeff had to fly to Denver the last weekend of Sept. for work so we went to Mt. Ayr to visit.  We were supposed to go to Adventureland (Pella Corporation bought all employees and their families tickets) and the ISU game on Sat. but unfortunately the rain ruined our plans.  Instead we spent the day shopping and then went to MA.
Decker and Pampa playing with Decker’s new farm set.

Decker loved his new ISU hat we got him.  And of course he was extra happy that Pampa was letting him eat Lucky Charms!

Happy Anniversary! I can't believe it's been 5 years either!
