On New Year’s Day we had Christmas with Jeff’s side of the family. It was a little rough after staying up so late but Decker and the other kids did really well. We started off the day with church with Jeff’s family then had lunch with Grandpa Grape (Great) and opened gifts with him. Then the kids got to open presents and while they played with all their new toys the adults opened their gifts. Decker got lots of fun games to play with – I love to play games so we’ll have fun doing that together. He also got a play laptop computer that he’s been hauling around. You can personalize it and update it with new emails and songs that the parents can choose. Decker loves it, and loves to get the emails! Everyone had fun playing with their new toys (even the big kids) and spending more family time together. The highlight of the day was playing Just Dance 2 on the Wii that Emily got from grandma and grandpa. We even got Doug and Jeff to participate! It was HILARIOUS!!! One of the funny moments was watching Decker take a turn. He kept wanting to have a turn so we had him play against his cousin Colten and he ended up beating Colten. Decker must have my rhythm and not Jeff’s – ha! I have some really funny footage of the guys shaking their hips, but it’s not going to make it to the blog. The same video also includes me. And while I look really great in my head, the video doesn’t share the same view. Not quite up to par with my old drill team days :) We had quite a fun week and not looking forward to starting back to work!!
