We spent the past weekend at Honey Creek Resort at Lake Rathbun Iowa with my family as a treat from my parents. It was so nice to have a little mini getaway and spend time with my family. The boys and I headed down Fri. afternoon and Jeff was able to join us late Fri. night after he was done flying. The hotel rooms were really nice and mom and dad had gotten a suite so we could all hang out together with room for the kids to run. The indoor water park was a good size for our little munchkins, although Decker was a little bummed that he couldn’t go down the big slide with us like we had been telling him all week – oops! But he did enjoy playing on the pirate ship and going down the smaller slides. My big boy seems to be growing up and I was surprised at what a difference a year made. Last summer he didn’t like the water unless he was clinging to Jeff or I and didn’t like to be splashed in the face. This weekend he ran all around the pools, going down the slides getting splashed and seemed so much more independent. We even took the babies for a short time in the water, but it was rather cold so we didn’t keep them long. Grady loves his baths and likes to splash around so I thought he might like the pool more. Don’t know if the noise or the cold were bothering him, but he didn’t really seem too excited by the whole thing. Thanks Granny and Pampa for the fun weekend!

Jeff's cousin's daughter makes these bearded hats so I had her make some for the boys. Decker and Nash weren't really thrilled and Grady didn't seem to mind. But they made for good pictures :)

Nash is so smiley!
Dinner at the restaurant - all the kids were so good for us!
