Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. On Friday night we had a fish fry with the neighbors (Are you noticing a theme? Lots of fishing this past spring.) On Sat. we headed down to Lake Thunderhead with Jeff’s family for the rest of the weekend. As usual, it was tons of fun and we all were wiped by the end of the weekend. Decker loves to ride on the boat and tried tubing for the first time and absolutely LOVED it! They got a new tube this year which can hold 4 adults or 5 kids which is great. Of course we went slow so Decker couldn’t fall off and he kept yelling Go Fast, Go Fast! For those of you that know my husband and his daredevil, accident past, I think I’m in trouble. After the younger kids went to bed Colten got to stay up late with the adults and play cards. This year we played Pitch and learned a new game – Farkle. It was a lot of fun! The boys also did some fishing on the lake too. And I have to mention that Decker’s new pole ended up at the bottom of the lake one week after he got it for his birthday! We also had a bon fire with S’mores and the glow sticks grandma brought were a big hit with the kids. I went back to my drill team days and taught the girls some light show moves :) Decker even had to go to sleep with both of his glow sticks tucked under his pj shirt so he could see them glowing. The funny things kids do!

The girls enjoyed reading to the little boys - if they could get them to sit still
