January Happenings

We’ve slowed things down a bit for the month of Jan. and have enjoyed the time with the boys.  Although the first part of Jan. was a little crazy.  Jeff made his annual ice fishing trip up to Minnesota then. They had their best year ever and caught 140+ fish. And those were just the ones they kept to eat and clean, doesn’t count the ones they threw back (he had to make sure and point this out). The boys and I survived the week alone. Although Decker was sick the entire time; he got sick New Year’s Eve day and had a fever for 6 days along with a horrible cough and congestion. So with that being my first full week back to work and the longest I’ve been home alone with the boys by myself, plus a sick kid I was just a bit stressed :)  Thank goodness for my mother-in-law!! During the month Decker got invited to his first friend birthday party for his friend Madison and was very excited to go bowling. Another weekend we headed down to Mt. Ayr to meet our family friends new baby girl at their baby shower. It was fun to see everyone and we teased the baby girls dad and grandpa that she already has two boyfriends – Grady and Nash. Decker and I had a date one Sat. afternoon and met up with Madi and her mom Jodi at the book bash at the library where they handed out the free book Giraffes Can’t Dance and had giraffe activities all over the library. Afterwards we treated the kids to lunch and ice cream. We’ve had lots of fun playing with all our new Christmas toys and fun activities off of pinterest. With the snow we’ve gotten Jeff took Decker and the neighbor girl sledding behind the 3-wheeler the other day. They had loads of fun!  Looking forward to the fun we'll have in Feb!

This is how I roll
Decker loves sporting his new camo robe
Grady's such a big boy in the bath
He gets to kicking so hard that he slides down off his holder.  Just giggles and splashes!
Decker with one of our paper plate snowmen we made
Here's an idea we saw on pinterest to make a spider web out of tape and throw old newspapers at it. Lasted about 10 min. before Decker was throwing his football at the web and destroyed it.  Little boys!
Grady loves to join us at dinner time in the bumbo
Family game night
Fun at the birthday party!

Mister G is so close to rolling over
Big brother trying to help him figure out how to roll
Decker decided he wanted a nest like the one they have on Dinosaur Train.  So he and daddy found every blanket they could to make quite the nest.  It seemed much bigger than it is looking on camera... and this picture doesn't seem to want to turn the right way for some reason...

Can you see his head poking out?
Decker thought Grady baby needed a turn in the nest
