It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

We've been having fun getting ready for Christmas! Last weekend we decorated the house and have been enjoying our Christmas music. We had problems with our tree falling down, but after Jeff found a new tree stand (on a trip in Detroit) it's finally stable and we were able to decorate it this past weekend. We also went to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops. Decker did much better this year. He sat on the armrest of Santa's chair and even told him what he wanted (an Iowa State football jersey and helmet!) Decker also cooperated very nicely when we took Christmas pictures. Gummy bears make a great bribe :) When we were done with the family shots he wanted to take more pictures and hammed it up for the camera!

The final decorated tree

We put up the small fake tree in Decker's baby room this year. Decker picked out where it should go. Even though he's sleeping in his new bed he still calls that room the guest bedroom and thinks his room is where the crib is. He did a great job decorating the tree - even handling my breakable ornaments good! I liked how he matched all the ornaments that were the same so all the like ornaments are in clusters on the tree.

Talking with Santa

They had a free craft for the kids at Bass Pro. Decker is proudly showing off his snowman ornament that he made. We need to work on wear scarves go on the body!

We did some shopping with Uncle Doug and Aunt Patti since we were in Altoona. Aunt Patti helped Decker shoot the targets.
