The Flying Dutch: Whirlwind of a Week

What a whirlwind of activity we have had this past week! I took the week off from work and we’ve had a lot of fun. And we started potty training!!!! We got back from Mt. Ayr Tues. and spent the day organizing and putting all our new presents away while Jeff worked. Kris and the kids were back from Chicago hanging out at grandma and grandpas house all week. It was great to spend time with them. Wed. Decker hung out with grandma and Kris and the kids while I worked a bit. We also really started working on potty training and had just a few accidents on the first day. Then Aunt Katie came to stay for the night. Decker enjoyed the nice weather and rode his bike around the neighborhood a bit. On Thurs. we went to visit grandma great Ryken in the nursing home and out to eat with grandma, Kris and kids and some of Jeff’s aunts and cousins. Decker played all day and that night we went to see the new Alvin and the Chipmunks Shipwrecked movie. I’m enjoying the fact that Decker is old enough to go to movies now! Our little man did an awesome job of potty training that day. Only one accident all day. It was in the movie theater and that was due to chugging his Hawaiian Punch :) On Friday we had a cookie/goodie baking day with grandma and all the aunts and cousins. Even Jeff stopped out and helped a bit. Decker has so much fun with all his cousins! Then today the guys went off-roading with their 4-wheelers and ranger. Decker only lasted about 30 min. The weather was great but it was a bit too muddy and I don’t think he enjoyed the mud flying up! I didn't get anything crossed off my to do list this week. But I enjoyed the time with my big boy and family. What a great end to the new year this week has been!!
