Recap of 2014

2014 was filled with lots of FUN.  The biggest event was my sister Katie getting married to Logan Porter in June!  We spent part of the year planning and showers and bachelorette party to Vegas.  The wedding was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple!  Winter was long and cold and played with lots of toys indoor and some occasional ice fishing.  Decker finished up preschool at Creation Station and Grady continued to grow and amaze us!  Had another fun Tulip Time and I took up running and did my first 5K in the Klompen Classic.  Then ran again in the fall on a relay team for the Des Moines Marathon to raise money for a friend with breast cancer.  Decker turned 5 and Grady turned 2 and both loved the summer and water and boating at the lakes.  Visited Reiman Gardens in Ames and a trip to Blank Park Zoo was fun too.  State fair was another hit and celebrated Grady’s birthday at Adventureland.  Was able to get Uitermarkt family pictures taken (no easy feat).  Took a trip to Chicago to visit the Workman’s and then celebrated Nina’s 90^th birthday!  Wrapped up the year spending time with family over the holidays.  Whew – what a year!
