Wedding, Swimming, & Santa

The weekend before Christmas we had a wedding in Des Moines for a friend from Mt. Ayr so decided to make a trip of it and stay overnight. Mom and Dad volunteered to keep Decker overnight in their room and Jeff and I had fun going out with friends afterwards!

The next morning we decided to take Decker swimming for the first time. He loves his baths so thought he’d have fun. But he really didn’t seem too interested in it or know what to think. Although mommy was getting annoyed by the other little kids cannonballing her! Guess I should get used to that with Decker in a few years : )


After we checked out decided to head to the new Bass Pro Shops to meet Santa. They have a great set up there with lots of fun activities for kids. Decker didn’t quite know what to think of Santa. Just stared and stared . . .
